Mayan Mind is a research-driven technology company founded on the core values of integrity, innovation, and trust. We are committed to building secure, intelligent systems that address some of today's most critical challenges in data privacy, certification, and edge computing. Our founder, Dr. Servio Palacios, holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University (#BoilerUp) and is a Fulbright Scholar, having received multiple honors, including the 2022 Outstanding Alumni Award from UNITEC, his alma mater in Honduras. His research has been funded by institutions such as NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he contributed to the "Secure Architecture for Graph Data Systems"—a project that inspired the graph motif embedded in our visual identity. Dr. Palacios has also worked alongside Turing Award winner Michael Stonebraker on SKOD: A Framework for Situational Knowledge on Demand, pushing the boundaries of real-time data intelligence.
Beyond research, Dr. Palacios is a passionate advocate for inclusive innovation. He is the creator of IoT4Kids (https://www.iot4kids.org/), an award-winning initiative that empowers underserved youth through hands-on education in technology, computer science, electronics, and the Internet of Things. IoT4Kids was awarded the prestigious AEIF (Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund), competing against other projects worldwide. His impact extends to the global stage, having served as a commencement speaker at significant events that reached over 10,000 people.
At Mayan Mind, we leverage this depth of experience to deliver transformative solutions, such as AuditGraph.io, AgapeCert 2.0, and Confidential Edge Solutions, redefining how trust, security, and knowledge are built in the digital age.
Our Story
I don’t believe in no-win scenarios. I’ve faced many Kobayashi Maru moments in my life—and today, I want to share how I’ve navigated the latest one.
Today, I officially begin my journey as an entrepreneur, Founder and CTO of Mayan Mind, LLC, operating as MayanMind.AI — a privacy-first innovation firm grounded in integrity, resilience, and purpose.
If you’re a Star Trek fan, you know the Kobayashi Maru is a no-win scenario designed to test a leader’s character when defeat is inevitable. But as Spock would say, true leadership is not about avoiding failure—it’s about facing the impossible with clarity, logic, and unwavering conviction.
My journey started far from Silicon Valley — in rural Honduras, without a computer. Yet, I taught myself to code, became a Systems Engineer, and later, a Fulbright Scholar. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue, teaching myself English along the way. Every obstacle became a training ground. Every barrier, a challenge to reprogram. Even now, facing difficult immigration constraints in the U.S., I apply the same mindset: no excuses, just solutions.
Through these experiences, I built Mayan Mind — not just a company, but a manifestation of everything I’ve learned about resilience, innovation, and trust.
